Aquarium Interpreter Volunteer Training
May 15 through June 5, 2010 Thursdays (6:30 - 9 p.m.), and Saturdays (9 a.m. - noon) at the Waikiki Aquarium
Aquarium Interpreter volunteers share natural history information about our exhibits, guide visitor observations and answer questions about Hawaii’s marine environment. The 21-hour training course covers interpretation and hospitality skills, information on exhibit operations, and marine science as it applies to our exhibits. Individualized sessions are then scheduled where new volunteers receive on-the-job training. Aquarium Interpreters commit to work on two-hour shift per week for a minimum period of six months (shifts are available daily from 9 -11 a.m., 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., 1 - 3 p.m., and 3 - 5 p.m.).
Please call 440-9020 to confirm your interest and reserve a place in the class.
