Assists in providing instruction, presentation, interpretation, expertise & support for the Waikīkī Aquarium's Education programs. Includes night/weekends/holidays and requiring walking, hiking, wading, swimming, and snorkeling. Minimum qualifications include possession of a baccalaureate degree in education, science, or a field relating to marine biology and 1 year of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for education or interpretation in an aquarium, museum, park, natural science center, formal classroom, or similar setting; or equivalent education/training or experience.

Performs a variety of manual work in the cleaning, care and maintenance of landscaped grounds and adjacent areas. Work requires the use of hand and power lawn tools and operation of light motorized equipment; prepares soil, sods lawns, and propagates plants and shrubs from seeds, cuttings and roots; fertilizes and waters areas; and may occasionally performs minor maintenance, janitorial or general laboring tasks. Performs other related duties as required.
