Ocean Literacy Day: September 18, 2010
Demonstrating reading is fun,
the Waikiki Aquarium will host its first-ever Ocean Literacy Day featuring
local celebrities and personalities reading from marine-themed books to the
delight of children and adults alike.
Different themed areas will be developed to provide age-appropriate
ocean-related storytelling, reading stations, interactive crafts and hands-on
learning.
The Waikiki Aquarium will
also partner with local book publishers to provide at least one book per child
in attendance (while supplies last).
Admission to Ocean Literacy
Day will be included in the price of admission to the Waikiki Aquarium. Cox Radio has agreed to be the media
sponsor of Ocean Literacy Day at the Waikiki Aquarium, providing additional
exposure for sponsors through on-air mentions and radio spots. See the poster!
